Ash Wednesday

Today is Ash Wednesday, a day of fast & abstinence. It is the first of the forty days of Lent in the Church's liturgical calendar. Lent is the penitential season leading up to Easter, the most important day in the Church's year. The weather is very nice today, especially compared to how violently out of control it's been lately. The temperature has been as high as forty degrees so far. Bridget is still here having a good time. She has to do homework too, though, so it's not all that much fun. Fran took her out last night. KrissyKrissyKrissy is back in N.Y. for a little while. The Ronald has once again sent us an e mail update so we can keep in touch by way of bad jokes, current events, etc. All is consistently lopsided.
