BIG MONTHLY CARMELITE MEETING

This morning I was out by slightly after 8:00a.m. for the big monthly Carmelite meeting over in Wilkes Barre. During the meeting, I drank a cup of tea & ate a pastry. We meet at 200 S. Meade St. at 8:30a.m. every third Saturday morning of the month. Anyone who's interested in joining the lay Carmelites in Northeastern Pa. may give us a visit. The weather's very nice today, which is quite a treat because all the ladies made plans to go to Elaine's house for the big party. There was a bunch of traffic on my way home from the meeting so I should most certainly hope, for their sake, they managed to get a much better break than I, because Elaine lives around two hours away. My hay fever's still been bugging the hell out of me. Maybe it's because of my new neck of the woods but this year it seems to be particularly bad for me. On my way home there was a walk for asthma going on. That's always very nice to see.

KRISSYKRISSYKRISSY'S LATE

As of last time I checked, KrissyKrissyKrissy wasn't back just yet. There's something going on with her trees. Two days ago was Aunt Lauren's birthday. Today I went to the gas station in Exeter only to be confronted with a major price hike. It's all a scam. I get a bit chilly doing the Friday dance. Tomorrow is the big day for Stacy. I won't be there though. I'll be at the Carmelite meeting. On Monday I have absolutely got to get an oil change. I get lazy about stuff like that unfortunately. It's not a barrel of laughs to go way down to Kingston & twiddle my thumbs while a bunch of guys climb under my car all day. I've found out about another scam. The holy rollers are a smidge on the quiet side lately but this one's taken their place. A girl named Elena, from Moscow, Russia, sent me an e.mail claiming to want to move to U.S. & meet a nice man. When I looked it up on the internet, I found out that that's a very common scam these days too. Russian women send mail & pictures(wink wink nudge nudge, hint hint hubba hubba) trying to get gullible American men to help them. Lately I seem to be on everybody's scam list. All sorts of hysterically dysfunctional characters have always managed to find their way to me.

HAY FEVER

All day Tuesday & yesterday I was absolutely miserable with have fever. I got so violently sick with a headache that yesterday I literally couldn't eat except a peanut butter sandwich & cheese & crackers at the end of the night. KrissyKrissyKrissy claims that when friends of hers moved to Pa. they were forced to take the written test over again to renew their driver's licenses but I didn't have to be bothered. I should most certainly hope that by now she's at least gotten a chance to read my blog. Election Day was Tuesday & I'm very sorry to say I didn't bother. I completely forgot to keep up with who was running against whom. Surprisingly, it wasn't the least bit hard to park here that day. On Tuesday I took a walk. I've been keeping up quite well with the habit. A lot of people around here like to walk along the levee that goes on for about two & a half miles but I'm quite happy with the local streets. On Saturday morning Stacy will be having her wedding shower & I shall be at the Carmelite meeting. Everybody can look forward to a very busy day. Once again the library is absolutely overrun with little children today. They most certainly seem to be able to keep all the young.uns quite happy.

VERY BUSY WEEKEND

The past few days were extremely active for me. Because yesterday was Mother's Day, there was lots of company for the weekend. Matt & Brianne even showed up. The only thing I didn't handle too well was the Oriental restaurant. The food is Chinese & Japanese. I most certainly enjoyed most of it, most especially the peanut butter chicken. A lot of the food was quite seriously odd, though, I literally ate seaweed & ginger. KrissyKrissyKrissy made sure she promised to check out my blog. I know Matt & Brianne have most certainly seen it many times by now. Mary Anne & Fran stayed out on Saturday night until around 1:30 a.m. Tomorrow parking here will be an absolute nightmare. It's Election Day & the traffic congestion in the parking lot will be pure hell. Yesterday we went to the graveyard at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston to visit the deceased relatives. Graves there go back at least as far as the Spanish American War. Graveyards around here are much more fun than the ones in New York. Young uns around here even literally get to ride through them on bicycles. It's like a park with dead people in it. My hay fever's been driving me crazy lately. Every season has its share of bad news. I'll most certainly take this over cold weather anytime.
